Britax Brook+ Review: Is the Low Price Worth the Trade-Offs?
Short answer: The Britax Brook+ is worth it if you want a light, low-cost full-size stroller that pairs with a Britax infant car seat. Britax lists it at $329.99 and 23 lb, with a reversible seat and a 50 lb limit. BabyGearLab ranked it 12th of 20 and found the steering and build quality weak.

The Britax Brook+ makes sense for parents who already plan on a Britax infant car seat and want a simple stroller around it. At 23 lb it is lighter than many full-size models, and $329.99 is a fair price for a reversible seat, a parent tray and a snack tray. The trade-offs are real, though. BabyGearLab scored it 56 overall, with low marks for quality and handling. If ride and build matter most, a Joie Ginger DLX or Cybex Balios S Lux is the better buy.
Who is the Britax Brook+ for?
The Britax Brook+ is for parents who want a basic full-size stroller at a modest price, and who plan to use a Britax infant car seat for the first months. Britax lists it at $329.99, and it is also sold with the Willow S infant car seat as the Willow Brook S+ travel system, which Babylist lists at $539.99. At 23 lb it is on the lighter side for a full-size stroller. It is a single stroller only; Britax says it does not convert to a double, though a stroller board for an older child is sold separately. BabyGearLab, which ranked it 12th of 20 full-size strollers, says the low price does not make up for its weaker handling and build. Owners on Babylist are kinder, rating the travel system 4.5 out of 5 across 156 reviews.
How does the Brook+ ride and steer?
Britax lists no-flat tires and all-wheel suspension on the Brook+. Reviewers at BabyGearLab were less impressed. They described turning as a burden, said the stroller catches on cords and door thresholds, and found it struggled on grass and gravel, especially long grass. They could feel rough pavement through the frame and called the small, hard wheels bumpy. Even so, it logged only five likely wake-up moments on their standard course, fewer than many rivals. BabyGearLab gave it 5.9 out of 10 for maneuverability. Owners on Babylist give a more positive picture, and several mention a smooth ride over mixed surfaces. For flat sidewalks and store aisles the Brook+ is fine. For daily park paths or broken pavement, a stroller with bigger wheels will feel easier.

- WheelsNo-flat tires with all-wheel suspension (Britax); BabyGearLab describes small, hard foam-filled plastic wheels
How big is the Brook+ when folded?
Britax lists the Brook+ at 23 lb, and BabyGearLab's scale agreed at 23.0 lb. Folded with the wheels on, Britax gives 16 x 23.5 x 36 in. BabyGearLab measured 38.5 x 23.8 x 15 in, or 13,745 cubic inches, and called the fold strangely large for the stroller's size. Britax calls it a one-step compact fold and Babylist lists a one-hand closure, but BabyGearLab found it takes two hands on dual levers under the handlebar. The fold locks automatically, so it stays closed while you lift it. Most trunks will take it, but it is not small, and it is not an airline carry-on stroller.
Is the Brook+ comfortable and safe?
The Britax Brook+ seat is reversible, so your child can face you or the world, and it is rated to 50 lb. BabyGearLab lists a 44 in height limit. Britax gives a 12.5 in seat width and a 13 in shoulder width. The seat reclines, and BabyGearLab says it goes deeper than many strollers but not flat; the seat back and leg rest move together. The canopy is water-resistant and UPF 50+, with a flip-down sun visor and a peekaboo window, though BabyGearLab found it does not block low sun well. The SafeWash insert can be machine washed and dried. Britax lists no newborn mode for the seat, so young babies ride in an infant car seat.
How much storage does the Brook+ have?
Britax calls the Brook+ basket large but does not publish a weight limit. BabyGearLab rates the basket as big with good access, yet its review lists the limit as 11 lb in one place and 10 lb in another. That is low next to rivals that carry 25 to 30 lb. Britax adds a parent tray with two cup holders and a phone holder, plus a child snack tray, so drinks and small items have a place above the basket.

Should you buy the Brook+ or the Britax Grove?
The Britax Brook+ and the Britax Grove share the same family. Britax sells accessories such as the stroller board for both, and both are single strollers only. On Britax's site the Grove is $379.99, $50 more than the Brook+ at $329.99. Britax lists the Grove at 24 lb against 23 lb, with the same 16 x 23.5 x 36 in folded size. The extra money buys a CozyFit insert, which Britax says lets babies from 10 lb ride with the seat fully reclined, plus a bumper bar and five storage pockets. The Brook+ comes with a parent tray and a child snack tray instead. If you will use an infant car seat for the first months anyway, the Brook+ is the better value. If you want the seat itself to work earlier, the Grove is worth the extra $50. Both were shown out of stock on Britax's site in October 2026.

Britax Brook+ FAQ
Is the Britax Brook+ worth it?
It can be, if price and weight matter most. Britax lists it at $329.99 and 23 lb, with a reversible seat and two trays. BabyGearLab ranked it 12th of 20 full-size strollers and found the steering and build weak, so families who walk a lot may prefer a sturdier model.
Can a newborn ride in the Britax Brook+?
Yes, in a compatible Britax infant car seat, sold separately. Britax lists no newborn mode for the stroller seat, and BabyGearLab says it does not recline flat. The Willow Brook S+ travel system pairs the stroller with the Willow S car seat, which is rated from 4 to 30 lb.
How big is the Brook+ when folded?
Britax lists 16 x 23.5 x 36 in with the wheels on. BabyGearLab measured 38.5 x 23.8 x 15 in, about 13,745 cubic inches, and called the fold large for its size. At 23 lb it is light for a full-size stroller, but it is not a carry-on.
Can the Brook+ become a double stroller?
No. Britax says the Brook, Brook+ and Grove are single strollers only. An older child can ride on the Britax stroller board, which is sold separately and fits these three models. If you expect two small children close together, a single-to-double stroller is the better choice.
