Britax lists it at $479.99 and 24.38 lb, with a 22 lb basket, a four-position recline and a telescoping handlebar. It launched in spring 2026, so no expert review exists yet and owner reviews are few.

The Britax Prism is Britax's newest and most complete full-size stroller. For $479.99 you get all-wheel suspension, a 22 lb basket, a four-position telescoping handlebar, a 360-degree bumper bar and car seat adapters in the box. It can also take the Zinnia bassinet. At 24.38 lb it is about average for the class, and it folds long, at 37.4 in. Because it is so new, the only ratings are 25 Babylist reviews, many from a promotion, so long-term durability is still unknown.

Who is the Britax Prism for?

The Britax Prism is for parents who want a full-size stroller that grows from newborn to toddler without paying premium-brand prices. Britax launched it in April 2026 at $479.99, or $679.99 as a travel system with the Willow S infant car seat and Alpine base. It sits above the Brook+ in Britax's line. In the box you get car seat adapters, an all-season insert, a cup holder and a swiveling bumper bar, so there is less to buy later. Britax counts six ways to stroll: an infant car seat or the Zinnia bassinet facing either way, then the toddler seat facing you or the world. It is a single stroller with no second-seat option. Because it is so new, there is no expert review yet, and the Babylist rating of 4.8 out of 5 rests on only 25 reviews.

How does the Prism ride and steer?

Britax lists all-wheel suspension, no-flat all-terrain tires and swiveling front wheels on the Prism, and Babylist adds that the front wheels lock. That is a more capable setup than the small wheels on the cheaper Brook+. No major review site has published a review of the Prism yet, so ride reports come from owners. On Babylist, about half of the visible reviews mention easy steering, including over uneven ground, and several call it smooth. Many of those reviews were collected as part of a promotion, so treat them with some caution. The Prism should suit sidewalks, parks and packed paths. The 4-position telescoping handlebar also helps taller and shorter parents keep a comfortable stride. Britax does not market it for running, so it is not a jogging stroller.

How big is the Prism when folded?

Britax lists the Prism at 24.38 lb, which is average for a full-size stroller. Britax calls the fold one simple step, and Babylist says it stands on its own once folded. Folded with the wheels on, Britax gives 37.4 x 23.6 x 20.07 in. That length is worth checking against your trunk, since it is longer than many rivals. Open, it measures 35.4 x 23.6 x 46.06 in. At 23.6 in wide it fits most doorways. That is close to the Brook+ at 23.5 in folded, but the Prism adds 1.38 lb. It is not an airline carry-on stroller, so plan to gate-check it when you fly.

Is the Prism comfortable and safe?

The Britax Prism seat is reversible and rated to 50 lb. It has a four-position recline that adjusts with one hand and a three-position calf rest. Britax gives a 10.43 in seat depth, an 11.61 in seat width and a 12 in shoulder width. The canopy is ventilated, expandable, water-resistant and UPF 50+, with a peekaboo window. An all-season insert comes in the box. Britax says the seat is not meant for newborns without an approved infant car seat or bassinet, so young babies ride in a Britax infant seat or the Zinnia bassinet. The fabrics are knit and melange with leatherette accents. Britax lists a two-year warranty.

How much storage does the Prism have?

Britax rates the Prism basket to 22 lb and calls it extra-large, which is generous at this price and well above what BabyGearLab lists for the Brook+. There are also mesh pockets on the seat and a parent cup holder included. Owners on Babylist mention the large basket among the stroller's strong points. Babylist also lists a storage pocket. A diaper bag and a few shopping bags should fit without trouble.

How does the Prism grow with your baby?

Scroll through the stages below; the 3D stroller changes as you go. Drag it to turn it.

  1. 01 · The early months

    Seat, reclined

Britax does not publish a minimum age for the toddler seat. 4 positions, one-hand adjustment; reversible seat; 3-position calf rest

  2. 02 · Sitting up, through the toddler years

    Seat, upright

The seat is rated to 50 lb, so most children can ride until they no longer need a stroller.

How does the Prism compare with the Britax Brook+?

The Britax Prism costs $479.99, $150 more than the Britax Brook+ at $329.99. For that money you get a 22 lb basket, where Britax publishes no limit for the Brook+ and BabyGearLab lists 10 to 11 lb. You also get a four-position telescoping handlebar, a four-position recline, all-terrain tires, a bumper bar and infant car seat adapters in the box, plus the option of the Zinnia bassinet. The Prism weighs 24.38 lb against 23 lb for the Brook+, so the extra features cost little in weight. The Brook+ has a long track record and a mixed BabyGearLab review. The Prism has no expert review yet. If you can stretch to $479.99, the Prism looks like the more complete stroller on paper.

Britax Prism FAQ

Is the Britax Prism worth it?

On paper it is good value. Britax lists it at $479.99 with a 22 lb basket, a telescoping handlebar, all-wheel suspension and car seat adapters included. It only launched in spring 2026, so there is no expert review yet, and long-term durability reports from owners are still limited.

Can a newborn use the Britax Prism?

Yes, but not in the toddler seat. Britax says the seat is not meant for newborns without an approved infant car seat or bassinet. Use a compatible Britax infant seat, such as the Willow S, or the Britax Zinnia bassinet. Both are sold separately and attach with the included adapters.

How big is the Prism when folded?

Britax lists 37.4 x 23.6 x 20.07 in with the wheels on, and Babylist says it stands when folded. It weighs 24.38 lb. The folded length is longer than many rivals, so measure your trunk first. It is not small enough to carry on a plane.

What comes with the Britax Prism?

Britax lists an all-season seat insert, infant car seat adapters, a parent cup holder and a 360-degree swiveling bumper bar. The car seat and Zinnia bassinet are extra. The $679.99 Prism travel system adds the Willow S infant car seat and the Alpine base.
