Joolz Hub2 Review: Is a Slim City Stroller Worth $749?

Short answer: The Joolz Hub2 is worth it if you want a compact city stroller that still feels like a full stroller. Joolz lists it at $749 and 19.4 lb, with a reversible seat usable from birth, a 22 lb basket and a one-hand fold to 11.5 x 20.67 x 26.18 in. It is not carry-on size, and the cot costs extra.

The Joolz Hub2 sits between a travel stroller and a full-size one. At 19.4 lb and 20.67 in wide, per Joolz, it is light and narrow, yet the seat faces either way and the basket takes 22 lb. At $749 it costs less than many premium compacts, and the 10-year warranty on registration adds peace of mind. It holds 48.5 lb, a little below most rivals, and a 2025 UK batch recall for loose front wheels is worth checking on any used one.

Who is the Joolz Hub2 for?

The Joolz Hub2 is for parents who want something lighter and narrower than a full-size stroller without dropping to a tiny travel stroller. Joolz lists it at $749 and 19.4 lb, only 20.67 in wide, with a seat that faces you or the world and works from birth. That makes it a good fit for city living, walk-up apartments and small trunks. One parent blogger at Thrifty Nifty Mommy, who compared it with the Mockingbird 2.0, called it best for one child or siblings at least three years apart, because no second seat can be added. If you fly often, the Joolz Aer2 is the carry-on option. If you want big wheels for trails, look at a full-size model. It suits parents who walk most days.

How does the Hub2 ride and steer?

Joolz lists 6.38 in front wheels and 7.8 in rear wheels on the Joolz Hub2, with suspension, though it gives no detail on how the suspension works. Those wheels are noticeably bigger than on travel strollers such as the Joolz Aer2, which helps on curbs and cracked sidewalks. The 20.67 in width makes narrow shop aisles and doorways easier. The blogger at Thrifty Nifty Mommy found it easy to steer with one hand on paved and gravel paths, and noted the long handlebar suits tall parents; Joolz lists a height of up to 42.52 in. It is a city stroller, not a jogger, and Joolz does not suggest running with it. Braking needs only one foot, the same reviewer noted.

How big is the Hub2 when folded?

Joolz lists the Joolz Hub2 at 19.4 lb with the seat and calls the fold one-handed and compact. Folded with the seat on, it measures 11.5 x 20.67 x 26.18 in, or 10.24 x 20.67 x 26.18 in without the seat. That is a slim package for a stroller with a reversible seat, and it should fit most trunks and many hall closets. A carry strap is included. Thrifty Nifty Mommy says it stands upright on its own once folded. It is too large for an airline overhead bin, so plan on gate-checking it. Joolz also backs it with a 10-year transferable warranty if you register within 6 months.

Is the Hub2 comfortable and safe?

Joolz says the Joolz Hub2 can be used from birth and lists an age range of 0 to 4 years, with a maximum load of 48.5 lb. The seat faces the parent or the world. Joolz's US page does not give the number of recline positions; the Thrifty Nifty Mommy review reports a full-flat recline for newborns and a UPF 50+ canopy with ventilation panels. For a separate newborn bed, the Hub2 cot comes in the $999 set, and that reviewer found it well padded. A bumper bar is included. Joolz lists the European standard EN 1888-2 rather than ASTM F833.

How much storage does the Hub2 have?

Joolz calls the Joolz Hub2 basket XL and lists 5.3 gallons with a 22 lb limit. That beats many compact strollers and matches the Bugaboo Fox 5 Renew's 22 lb. The Thrifty Nifty Mommy reviewer called it spacious for the stroller's size. An organizer costs $59.99 if you want a place for phone and keys. For comparison, the Joolz Aer2 basket is rated to 17.6 lb and the UPPAbaby Minu V3 basket to 20 lb.

What was the Joolz Hub2 recall about?

In October 2025 the UK Office for Product Safety and Standards published a recall for one batch of Joolz Hub2 strollers in Space Black and Forest Green. The front wheels could detach from the chassis during use, which could cause a loss of stability and injury. The affected batch numbers run from HUB2CH-016488 to HUB2CH-016687, printed on the inside of the right rear leg. Joolz offered a free replacement. The notice is from the UK, and we could not confirm whether any of that batch reached the US. If you buy a used Hub2, check the batch number on the leg, and register a new one so Joolz can reach you. Other batch numbers and colors were not listed in the notice.
